LAW OF SILENCE
It exists
latent in
current aesthetics
a new law of contrasts.
We will call it
THE “LAW OF SILENCE”.
Silence in plastic art
and
poetic-dramatic assets
create a new field of harmony, a new pictorial interplay
of
Fifty-Fyfti
harmonies,
in which psychological domination is frequent and possible
apparent
of
the active
through conflict between interwoven shapes, colours and textures.
Canonising
this law is necessary.
The
law
of the constant return to the primitive
(Cirlot’s law)
is its chronological complement, its starting point.
The geometric reason
of this new law
is traditional
and
It is subordinate to the geometric and numerical elements of the rectangle,
especially as regards its orthogonality,
being, in spite of everything, a law that promotes the
dominant state.
The
painting
continues to be
intimate,
utilitarian
and
contemplative.
